Last year's bronze medallist PETR MARKO (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) got his campaign off to a fine start by winning he North American GP and picking up 14 points in total. Home hero JACK HAGEN (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS) and 2018 champion FILLIPPE CHONG (MADRID MAGPIES) actually picked up the most points in the round, 15
each, as they came 2nd and 3rd in the Grand Final respectively. The last rider to reach the final heat of the evening was JACEK KLECHA
(unattached).

The riders who went out in the Semi Finals all picked up double figure points returns to make positive starts with STEEN ERIKSEN (BRATISLAVA BUZZARDS) scoring 12, RAY FRANCE (KING'S
LYNN LIGHTNING) picking up 11 and 10 each for BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) and LAURENCE CHAMBERLAIN (LANARKSHIRE LIONS), the latter proving an impressive wild card pick for
this round.

The top 2 from last both went out before the final stages but turned in steady displays with 2020/21 runner-up LOUIS JOOSSENS (RICHMONDS CHEETAHS) scoring 8 and defending champion
RAFAL ARANOWSKI (READING REBELS) a solid 7. Not a disaster for either rider but they will want to improve in the next few rounds and make
sure they stay on the pace.
