AUSTRALASIAN GRAND PRIX

PETR MARKO (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) took a fine win in the Australasian GP and moved himself up to 2nd place overall as a result. His score
of 17 points was matched by runner-up in the meeting, JACK HAGEN (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS) who jump to the top of the overall standings.
JACEK KLECHA (unattached) was a surprise 3rd in the round and fellow Pole BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) was the other Grand Finalist, both riders strengthening their
position in the series after 3 rounds of the 8.

RHODRI SZCZYGIEL (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) was given the wild card spot following his astonishing 19 points as a reserve in the last round and he once again impressed, this time
reaching the Semi Finals, and seems likely to continue as a wild card selection if he can retain his place in the top 8 overall. STEEN
ERIKSEN (BRATISLAVA BUZZARDS) also reached the Semis and scored double figures to keep himself in the top 8 overall. RAFAL ARANOWSKI
(READING REBELS) and LOUIS JOOSSENS (RICHMOND CHEETAHS), on his return from an injury, were the other riders to go beyond the main heats but couldn't add any more points.

FILLIPPE CHONG (NECRONS) and RAY FRANCE (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) both returned solid, if unspectacular scores, but retain their place in the upper half of the standings whilst ENZO
INNACONE (FOXHALL VIKINGS) does drop out of the top 8 but with the series yet to reach the halfway stage no riders will be panicking too much just yet.
