DANISH GRAND PRIX

FILLIPPE CHONG (NECRONS) celebrated his recent move to the Ultimate League by winning the Danish Grand Prix and moving ahead at the top of the standings overall, after 2 of the 8 rounds.  RHODRI SZCZYGIEL (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) moved up as first reserve to replace the injured Louis Joossens and turned in an absolutely stunning display to finish 2nd in the round with 19 points.  If Joossens is back for the next round it will be interesting to see if the GP Committee consider Szczygiel as a possible wild card for further rounds given he has put himself into 6th overall with this performance.  JACK HAGEN (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS) matched Chong in making it 2 Grand Finals from 2 rounds, 3rd here and 2nd overall and the Grand Final was completed by Wild Card for the round KENNI ALGREEN (ABERAVON GEMS) who gave the local fans something to cheer on a day when the other home favourites struggled.

BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) and RAY FRANCE (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) both reached the Semi Final stage and scored 11 points to strengthen their overall positions and ENZO INNACONE (FOXHALL VIKINGS) moves up a couple of places, into the top 8, after also making it to the Semis.  The final rider to extend his meeting beyond the regular heats was ARNE KARLSEN (COPENHAGEN COBRAS) with 9 points moving him to joint 10th overall.

From the rest PETR MARKO (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) made a great start to the meeting before fading, although he retains 3rd place in the standings overall as the series starts to take shape with 2 rounds raced,  STEEN ERIKSEN (BRATISLAVA BUZZARDS) didn't have a great round in his 'home' GP but retains a spot in the top 8 for now thanks to his strong showing in the last round.
